participates for the first time in the Le Mans motor race and wins their class in a 356

Jose Herrarte wins the Carrera
Panamericana in a Porsche 550-02 in the class up to 1500 ccm. In the 24-hour Le Mans, the
Porsche drivers Richard von Frankenberg/Paul Frere win their class up to 1500 ccm in a
550 coupe.
1955: Richard von Frankenberg wins
the German Sports Car Championship, together with Helmut Polensky he wins the 1,5
litre class at Le Mans.
1960: Joakim Bonnier and Hans
Herrmann win the Targa Florio in an RS 60. Bonnier also wins the German Grand Prix at
Nürburgring in a Formula-2 car.
1962: Dan Gurney wins the French
Grand Prix in Formula-1.
1967: The Swiss Porsche drivers
Steinemann, Voegele, Illert, Seiffert and Spoerry make a world record. In 95 hours, 35
minutes and 4.2 seconds they cover 20.000 kilometer on the Monza course with an average
speed of 209.24 kph.
1968: Vic Elford and Umberto
Maglioli win the Targa Florio in a Porsche 907. Jo Siffert and Hans Herrmann win the
12-hour race in Sebring in a Porsche 907. Vic Elford and David Stone win the
Monte Carlo Rally in a 911 T. Besides Porsche wins the first total victory at the
24-hour race in Daytona.
1969: Porsche wins for the first
time the Mark world championship. The Monte Carlo Rally is once again won.
1970: Porsche win again the Mark
world championship and for the third time in a row the Monte Carlo Rally is won in a 911
S. Porsche win for the first time the total victory in the 24-hour Le Mans.
1972: Porsche wins the Can Am series
in a 917-10.
1976: Porsche wins a double World
Championship in a 935 and a 936 (group 5 and 6).
1981: The first Formula-1 World
Championship, with a Formula-1 TAG-engine, V6 Turbo 1.5 litre.
1982: First group C World
Championship. Porsche 956 C is elected the motor sports car of the year.
1984: Porsche wins the Paris-Dakar
Rally in a new four-wheel drive 911 Carrera.
1985- Porsche continues to win
